The restaurant staff as well as the valet staff were extremely friendly and helpful. You have to sign a paper that says no smoking, pets, or alcohol allowed in the hotel. At check in we were told that there is no alcohol allowed in the hotel including the rooms, only allowed in the restaurants and casino. The pool water looked a little cloudy to me so we didn't swim otherwise the place is very clean and well maintained. The workout room is large and contains a lot of equipment.
I didn't find any outdoor spaces/courtyards but didn't ask either. There are distant mountains on the vista but mostly high desert terrain to view (flat land with bushes).
The shutters let light in and there were several little gadget lights around the room to be seen during the night. The décor throughout is gorgeous, artistic, and represents various aspects of nature. Downtown Flagstaff is 28 miles away, a thirty minute drive. This family friendly resort is built on expansive acreage with nothing around for miles no nearby stores, restaurants, or gas stations although there are four restaurants at the resort as well as a gift shop.
